On Friday, November 28th, 2014, deputies with the Lee County Sheriff’s Office received information of a possible sex crime involving a juvenile.
Due to the nature of the incident, detectives with the Major Crimes Special Victims Unit responded and conducted an investigation.
According to investigators, a witness saw inappropriate contact between the suspect and a thirteen (13) year old female. The witness brought the information to the juvenile’s caretaker, who then took the juvenile to a local hospital.
During the investigation, investigators determined that sexual contact took place between the 13 year old juvenile and Santos Leon Jr. (DOB 1/1/88) of Lehigh Acres.
Leon Jr. was arrested and charged with one count of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior – Victim 12 YOA to 16 YOA, Offender 18 YOA or Older, and one count of Sexual Assault by Custodian – Victim Over 12 and Under 18.
