A Cape Coral man is in the Lee County Jail for sex crimes against a minor.
Carlos Leshawn Williams (DOB 07-28-94) of 1154 Hancock Creek Blvd. #303, Cape Coral was charged with Lewd & Lascivious Behavior on a victim between the ages of 12 to 16.
As soon as the victim’s parents got home from work, she told them what happened. They immediately contacted the Lee County Sheriff’s Office. Due to the nature of the incident, the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit was notified and responded to the scene to assume the investigation.
According to the investigation, Carlos went to a female’s house to “chill” and watch a movie. Once inside her home and the movie had started, Carlos began to touch her thighs and remove her pants. He then began to have intercourse with her, even though she told Carlos to stop several times. After Carlos was finished, Carlos ran from the residence.
Lee County Sheriff’s Office Evidence Unit responded to the scene and located evidence at the home to corroborate the victim’s account on what had taken place.
Carlos was located at his workplace wearing the same clothing the victim had described him to be wearing during the incident. After being interviewed by Special Victims Unit Detectives, Carlos was taken to the jail without incident.
